A Maggot Conspiracy - NOW AVAILABLE!!

It only took 16 years to get this book out, which is a real testament to my skills of procrastination.
It also only took a dozen or so people to turn this absurd idea into reality: Cover Art by Jason Todd, Illustrations by James Donnelly and Jason Todd, Book Layout by Steve Abbott.
The book was edited with the keen eyes of: Steve Abbott, Ian S. Robertson, Maria Yates, Erma Odrach, Kirsten Dressler, Frank Beghin and Kasia Sobilo, to name but a few.
So, sure, it says the book is by Stud!o M!ke - whoever the hell that is - in reality it took the help of more than a dozen people to turn this story out. So, a gigantic THANKS!! goes out to all of them.

So, what's the story about?

The description goes like this:
"A powerful force, the Spark, has fallen into the hands of evil insects who desire nothing more than the total annihliation of the human race. It is up to Deegan the Sparrow and his friends from POE (Peace On Earth) to fight this devastating enemy and bring peace back to the land."

How did I come up with the idea for A Maggot Conspiracy?

I lay in bed thinking of new ideas for a book and this story began to percolate. At the time I was writing a novel called Dunnsville and I let the ideas for A Maggot Conspiracy build as I continued working on that project. Once I finally finished the first version of A Maggot Conspiracy I received a lot of positive feedback about it, so I did nothing with it, just sat around, pretending that one day I'd get it out and it would make me rich and famous. 16 years later, I don't want to be famous - not at this time in history - and I've been poor for so long, to me being rich means: having food in my fridge, food that is still in date.

Did I ever try to get A Maggot Conspiracy published by an established publishing house?

That sounds like a lot of work and rejection to me. For $0.99/book I can have it distributed all over the world. That's a lot less work and rejection.

Now that I've gotten 2 of 12 books released upon the world, will I get all 12 out in 2018?

I actually have no idea, to tell myself the truth. It sounds good in theory, and if I didn't believe I could actually get all 12 done, no one would be reading this. Well, one is anyways, but that's a whole other issue I have yet to find an answer to.

What kind of marketing and promotion will I be doing for my work?

As mentioned in the last paragraph, I have no idea how to market and promote my work, it's one of my weaknesses as a human being. Well, that and being a dick sometimes. And being a terrible friend, boyfriend, co-worker, brother and son.

Why am I torturing myself like this?

I just gave myself that answer? Don't I ever read my own stuff? I guess I'm just taking advantage of the fact that no one is going to read this far into this post.

Here is the alternative cover art, by Jason Todd:

In conclusion:

If it wasn't for the help of my friends and family, I couldn't possibly get all this work done. I'm thankful for every one of them for helping guide me through dark times and good times and for being there when I need them the most.

With heartfelt thanks and gratitude,
Stud!o M!ke, George the Hellhound, Tito Mosquito and California the Hellcat.
