Garden Party 2016

On August 21, 2016 TCE held our 3rd annual Garden Party and it was a huge success!
The crowd was much larger than expected, the food was super delicious and we raised $825 for the animals of Oakville Milton Humane Society!

This was the receipt from the donation. The next day we received another $10 from Frank B.

We used the money raised to sponsor 2 Cat Cages for 1 year and the rest of the $$$ was used to buy 30 OMHS lottery tickets. If/when the tickets are pulled, the money will be donated back to the shelter under the name: Garden Party. We could have just handed the shelter an envelope full of money, but we decided this would be a better way to help the animals. If the Garden Party tickets win, so do the animals because the money won't walk out the door.

Prior to the party I had said: "If god hates animals, it'll rain." It didn't.

Things came together nicely with the help of a lot of friends and especially with the help of my family who brought the grub, drinks and made the delicious BBQ pizza's that everybody is still raving about. Party guests got to create their own pizza's made with homemade tomato sauce and fresh cut ingredients. They were created and grilled to perfection by my sister Pam, her hubby Josh and with the help of their kids. I couldn't believe how tasty they were!

Great food, great friends, great family and all for a great cause. Isn't that great?!

The Concert portion of the BBQ/Concert/Fundraiser consisted of three sets. The first set, the Solo Set featured TCE head writer Studio Mike. The second set, the Duet Set, was performed with the help of percussionist J.Todd. The closing set, the Triple Threat Set, was headlined by songstress Sara Pecino and accompanied by J.Todd and Studio Mike.

The reason I always perform at the Garden Party is because I'm free. I'm always free.

The party was a huge success and I say with confidence that everyone had a good time.
A huge thanks goes out to everyone who helped with food, helped with donations and helped the animals in need.
Thanks to Steve Abbott for taking pictures of the party.

Will there by a 4th annual Garden Party?
Only time will tell...

I bought 3 cases (72 beers) for the party. When it was over  there were 110 beers left. Tragic.
