The Compassion Experiment (Day 65)

The Compassion Experiment: Words Put Into Action

Today's Parallel's 'Of Wisdom':
"People often say that humans have always eaten animals, as if this is a justification for continuing the practice. According to this logic, we should not try to prevent people from murdering other people, since this has also been done since the earliest of times."
Isaac Beshevis Singer

This weekend was the official beginning to summer, with The Harbourside Organic Market and the Kerr Street Market reopening for business.
The fact that we can easily walk to both, makes it really hard for us to ever move from this neighbourhood.
The cost, selection, produce, services, everything is great, we can't complain one iota.
Sure, the weather was a bit of a mess, but who cares, it was great, and exciting, all at the same time.
This is when summer really begins!

On top of this blog, we will now be blogging here: http://oakvilleorganicmarket.wordpress.com

If you have animals in your house, the best thing for them, is to reduce the amount of chemicals you use when cleaning.

Here is a great way to help keep your animals safe, and keep a clean house too. (Is that really possible?!)

It's been a busy day, writing for two blogs at once, while trying not to repeat myself either, thus forcing readers to visit both blogs, if they feel so inclined.

Please stay tuned in, because this is when things start to get CRAAAAZY!

Animals saved today: 4
Animals saved to date: 209

Note: we realize these numbers are not a true representation, but in our minds, this helps to visualize the damage we are causing when we eat animal by-products.
