In my attempt to publish 12 books this year, I've now hit the halfway mark with Book #6, my short story anthology Little Surfer Girl and other Tales of Hilarity and Horror. Hard to believe I've made it this far, considering all the craziness that has been happening in my real life. Releasing 6 books is a pretty big accomplishment.

My next book is going to be... actually, I haven't decided which book to release next. I've been kind of winging it this whole way, so your guess is as good as mine as to which book I'll release next.
Been keeping myself busy with the successful Tribute Concert for Glynis Cunningham - I will write a longer post about that in the near future - we raised $1165 for the Oakville Milton Humane Society and donated it in memory of Glynis Cunningham. It was a wonderful night for a wonderful woman.
I'm still looking for a new place to live and finally made the decision to look for places in Hamilton. I had been fighting myself over this for the past three months but when I gave it some good thought, I decided it might just be the right place for me after all. Reasons to move to Hamilton: I have friends who live there, I used to live there, there are more places to play music, there are more places to see live music, the rent is more affordable, the food is cheaper, it's not Oakville... Reasons not to move to Hamilton: the commute.
We'll see what happens next, here's wishing for great things, happiness and laughter.

What can readers expect from Little Surfer Girl?
A ton of hilarious, heart warming and disturbing stories all in one place. It's twenty years of work together for the first time and I'm quite proud of it.

Hilarious, heart warming and disturbing? How does that work?
The book is split into three sections: Hilarity, Horror and Other. Depending on the readers mood, they can decide if they want to laugh, cry or pee themselves.

Why did it take so long to put out a short story anthology?
Because I'm lazy, obviously.

Which book is next?
Honestly, I have no idea. I've been writing a book all year and it still isn't done and it's driving me crazy. I need to finish that book, called Lost in the Wilderness, before I do anything else. I have a couple ideas for the next book to publish but haven't settled on which project to do.

Will I actually publish 12 books this year?
Sure, why not?

I was grateful and in awe of the generous support for the Tribute Concert and it reminded me that despite all the uncertainty in my life and in life in general, deep down inside people are good and want to help and there is still good in this world.

Best Metal'ish albums of 2022

We use the term Metal’ish because some of our favorite albums could be considered metal adjacent, not metal necessarily, but awesome none-the-less and worthy of this list. We are always on the hunt for the next awesome metal album and this year there was no shortage of great stuff, in fact, this list could have been a lot longer. Finding all these albums on our own would be near impossible. What we do is wait until all the YouTube metal nerds put out their metal lists and we watch them - 20 or so videos so far -  and any albums we haven’t heard yet, we check them out. Basically we let them find all the good albums that we missed and then check them out and see what we think. The criteria for this list is easy: is it a kick ass album? Yes or no? I must have picked the right font, because it looks like Gop 10 ! Ok, it's no surprise that I'm procrastinating writing my newest project, though I did write a short story for the Toronto Star Short Story contest, which means I still haven't given up my dream of becoming a successful author. Lucky for me, being a successful author means: completing a project I start. Also, it should't come as a surprise that I'm single, so I've compiled a Top 10 list of the reasons for this.
