"Thanks, for your wonderful blog, and great review of our little sanctuary. We really enjoyed meeting you both, and hope you will be back again! I love the pic of you and Doc, it looks like he's having a little taste. :-)They really are wonderful creatures that have enriched our lives greatly. We love to share them with people, so they can see how great they really are. Thank you for all you do for animals, and especially all the ones you are saving by not eating them!"

The best thing about our time during this experiment, has been all the new and amazing experiences, each one better then the next, and life has never been better. It's all about opening your mind to new ideas, and being fearless.
Sure, sure, it's that easy.
One good idea, spawns another great idea, and when you just go for it, a wave of goodness crashes upon you.

How do I find this wave?

You try this!:
We had meatless chicken strips, recommended by our friends A, M and E, and they were awesome! Gardein Seven Grain Crispy Tenders were better then we could have ever expected. Tasty little morsels that were tastier, and more consistent, then the barbarian alternative.
I ate all of mine, and half of B's, damn tasty!
Next time you have a hankering for C-Strips, get these instead, and you'll never look back.

Or try this!:
"I've not tried the Gardein strips, but we found a new way to cook the President's Choice meatless chicken strips. You bake them like the instructions say, then put them in a frying pan with your favorite BBQ sauce. Cook till crispy and the sauce carmelizes. MMMMMMMM........."

This Saturday was the Charlie Fund - Quilt Silent Auction.
Until this year I had never seen first hand, where the $$$ from the Charlie Fund really goes, but that all changed when we met Charlie. Charlie was a deaf, and blind, declawed siamese cat who stole our hearts earlier this year. He was such a fighter, and an amazing soul.
And knowing, that by buying two quilts last year, we had helped to make Charlie's life a little better, means everything to us.
This year we bought two more, and are so glad we could help.

(Turns out we bought a quilt last year, that was created by Anne Smith.
She was so happy to hear that we have her quilt up on our wall!
Maybe you've seen it?
It's on the wall, beside the stainglass window upstairs?)

Thanks to LW for the video seen below!
Can you resist the cuteness?!

Last Thursday we attended our first Halton Green Screen.
On the third Thursday of every month, FREE OF CHARGE, at Encore in Oakville, you will find great Eco-Films, followed by a discussion about environmentally progressive changes, and such.
Our favorite part: Free apple slices with organic and compassionate chocolate sauce, supplied by WF.
The next one is November 18, and it is Living Downstream, and it looks really good.
We'll remind you, and ourselves, about it again, as the date closes in on us.

Today's Parallel's 'Of Wisdom':
"If you are what you eat, and you eat hotdogs, doesn't that make you an a$$hole?" - From a sticker.

Animals saved today: 4
Animals saved to date: 756
