The Compassion Experiment (Day 46)

Not for profit

The Compassion Experiment: It's not a blog, it's a Blitter. Too short for a blog, too long for a Twitter.

Last night was the Sip and Savour, which took place at Coriander Green (Best Indian food in Oakville!).
The event is held to bring awareness to the Organic Market, which will be starting Saturday June 19.
At the Sip and Savour, the organizers bring together the best chefs in Oakville, and challenge them to make amazing and tasty dishes, with fruits and vegetables grown by the vendors of the Organic Market.
And let me tell you, it rocked!
Coriander Green's own chef, Chef Harminder stole the show with his hot and spicy sweet potatoes.
We had to go back for seconds.
Cucci Restaurant ran a close second with their amazing green soup, content was weird and unknown (ed.note: "The green soup was made from stinging nettles, a common weed- which we obtained from our farm Baba link" (thanks Susan)), but beyond delicious.
Found myself licking out the cup.
Yum!
They had wine and beer for consumption as well.
The beer was care of Trafalgar Brewery, and was our first introduction to the brewery.
We had doubles of their Cherry Ale, which was awesome. And tried their red, the bitter biting Paddy.

Best info of the day:
On Fathers Day, June 20, the Trafalgar Brewery will be holding a FREE beer sampling event.
If that isn't good enough for you.
It will also be catered by STONEYS!!
My god, this is the best news ever.
FREE BEER and STONEY'S!!
Do you think we will miss this event?
Did I mention that Stoney's is our favorite Oakville Restaurant?
And that we love free beer?
I'm sure you do too, that's why you should take your dad there for Fathers Day.
It'll be a Father's Day he'll never forget.
Ah, who am I kidding, not only will he forget it, but most of the people there will too, no doubt.
If you don't have a dad, rent one.
Just don't miss it, that's what I'm trying to say here.

The Sip and Savour was a great time, we met tons of nice, smart, talented people, and now look forward to the opening of the Organic Market, at the Central Library, June 19.
The next day is June 20, aka, FREE BEER and STONEY's day.

Wow, that's going to be a great weekend.
Don't you dare miss it!
