Garden Party Follow-Up.

"A HUGE PAWS UP to Mike P for holding his amazing Garden Party fundraiser for the animals at the Oakville & Milton Humane Society! With exciting live performances, delicious food and a crowd of animal lovers - it was purrfect!!!!

Mike has worked at OMHS for the past 7 years so he knows firsthand about the miracles that happen here every day. OMHS does not receive any funding from the government to care for or find homes for the animals. That is why event's like Mike's are critical to help the thousands of animals that come through the shelter every year. Thank you to Mike, his family and all of the supporters for making the 2016 Garden Party memorable and so successful!"

 The final tally for the 2016 Garden Party was: $845!

 With the money raised we sponsored 2 cat cages for a year, bought 30 OMHS Lottery Tickets (not one winner) and donated $20 to the Charlie Fund. Had I known we wouldn't win any $$$ for the animals with the lottery, I would have donated more to the Charlie Fund - which raises money to fund expensive and necessary surgeries that the animals would go without - if it wasn't for the Charlie Fund.

 Overall, the party was a huge success and I'm grateful for all the support from family, friends, co-workers, volunteers and all the people who donated just to help the animals.

I must have picked the right font, because it looks like Gop 10 ! Ok, it's no surprise that I'm procrastinating writing my newest project, though I did write a short story for the Toronto Star Short Story contest, which means I still haven't given up my dream of becoming a successful author. Lucky for me, being a successful author means: completing a project I start. Also, it should't come as a surprise that I'm single, so I've compiled a Top 10 list of the reasons for this. Best Metal'ish albums of 2022

We use the term Metal’ish because some of our favorite albums could be considered metal adjacent, not metal necessarily, but awesome none-the-less and worthy of this list. We are always on the hunt for the next awesome metal album and this year there was no shortage of great stuff, in fact, this list could have been a lot longer. Finding all these albums on our own would be near impossible. What we do is wait until all the YouTube metal nerds put out their metal lists and we watch them - 20 or so videos so far -  and any albums we haven’t heard yet, we check them out. Basically we let them find all the good albums that we missed and then check them out and see what we think. The criteria for this list is easy: is it a kick ass album? Yes or no?
